The mountains offer a variety of activities year round. Most known for skiing, snowshoeing, and other winter sports, there are wonderful hiking and mountain biking trails, world-renowned rivers for fly fishing, zip tours, and many more activities for the young and young at heart.  What will you do?

Northern Utah Attractions

Stewart Falls

Named for the Stewart family who first homesteaded the North Fork Canyon area, Stewart Falls offers a beautiful, easy hike to a spectacular waterfall you’re sure to love!

Drive The Alpine Loop Scenic Byway

Our Northern Utah cabins are located right along the Apine Loop Scenic Byway just walking distance from Sundance Mountain Resort, and just a few miles from the entrance to the world famous, American Fork Canyon National Forest!  This beautiful wilderness area would be a National Park in most states, but here in Utah, it’s a quite local’s secret, grand enough to take up your entire vacation just exploring this area.

Mountain Biking

Miles and miles of mountain bike trails are spread throughout the area.  From aspen grove singletrack from the top of the Alpine Loop Highway to your cabin’s front doorstep and continuing down to Provo Canyon and the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, there is no shortage of trail riding in these Rocky Mountains.

Off Mountain Cycling

With access from our mountain cabins to numerous roads, tracks, trails and loops of every category and rating, you’re sure to find the right match for your skill level and desired cycling experience, be it road cycling, or back country mt biking.

 

Horse Back Riding

While we don’t have pastures for your own horses at our cabins, there are plenty of great horseback trails in the area, and guided tours with local horses are available in most areas.

Scenic Lift Rides

Most, if not all of the resorts within an hours drive from Mountain Cabins Utah, offer scenic lift rides for hiking, biking, or simply sightseeing, during the summer.

Blue Ribbon Fly Fishing

Skiing & Snowboarding

Mountain Cabins Utah is nestled just 5 minutes walk from Utah’s world-class skiing and a convenient drive from resorts such as Park City and Canyons (the largest ski resort in North America), Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, Solitude, and Deer Valley.

Venture no more than an hour away to experience one of the 7 ski areas and 14 resorts in Utah and find the perfect ski experience for you and your group.

Snowshoeing & Nordic Skiing

If Nordic skiing is more your pace, enjoy over 15K of managed Cross Country Ski trails at the Nordic Center just up the road.

Zipline Tours

Several zip line tours are available nearby from scenic tours or Mt. Timpanogos to tours along the Provo River, to one of the world’s longest Zip Courses, at nearby Deer Creek State Park.

Southern Utah Attractions

Mountain Biking

There’s over 1300 miles of mountain biking at Eagle Point Ski Resort, the historic Paiute Trail, and the sourounding areas in the beautiful, uncrowded Tusher Mountains and Fish Lake National Forest.  Bike rentals are availible through Eagle Mountain Ski Resort at the upper mountain rental shop.

Spectacular Fly Fishing

The fly fishing in this area is one of Utah’s best kept secrets.  We’ve been told by locals who eat, drink, and sleep fly fishing, that some of the best they’ve ever done is right here in this canyon, but almost no one knows about it!

Scenic Mountain Hikes

Situated near the historic Paiute Trail and just a short day-trip to Bryce Canyon National Park means that our Southern Utah Condos at Eagle Point Ski Resort offer access to more trails than and scenery than most people will ever experience in their lifetime!

Mountain Cabins Utah offers 5 Ski-In/Ski-Out condominiums located in Eagle Point Ski Resort.

Snowshoeing & Nordic Skiing

The Tusher Mountains offer plenty of backcountry adventure for Nordic and snowshoe enthusiests.  Just make sure you know what you’re doing, or hire a qualified guide.

One of our favorite snowshoing experiences near by is in Bryce Canyon National Parks where the winter scenary is truly out of this world!
