The Owl Bar at Sundance Resort

The Owl Bar is the glue that holds Sundance Community together. Fun, personable, long time employees share their stories, the stories of Sundance and just make this like the infamous Cheers Bar in Boston. Where everybody knows your name.

Once frequented by Butch Cassidy, the restored 1890’s bar was moved from Thermopolis, Wyoming to Sundance. The back bar, made of cherry wood was initially an export of Ireland. After the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was made, Robert Redford bought the bar and two side liquor storage cabinets and made their new home, The Owl Bar.
