Midway Mercantile Restaurant in Midway – 30 minutes from Sundance
Bonner Brothers, built Midway Mercantile in 1874. They helped keep Heber Valley fed and supplied for decades. 140 years later, the Platt family continues this tradition, not as a store but as a wonderful, neighborhood restaurant!

After a long hike we had one of the best cafeteria style meals at the Lookout resturant which is located within the Sundance Mountain Resort. It was a little pricey but very good! Also, this is one of the nicest lodges that I’ve ever been to. It’s right up there with the lodges at Snowbasin and Deer Valley. They did a great job!
Sit in the Bar by the window and you can people watch. They have perfected the art of making the best Old Fashion drinks. The service is friendly and the food is awesome. They have some really good specials – remembe to ask! service
Great coffee, smoothies, a cup of hot tea, hot chocolate, sandwiches, salads and don’t forget the cookies and delectible pastries. Grab a picnic and sit on the grass outside. Or sit in the Foundry waiting room and read your book.
Make this a gathering spot for old friend or make new friends when skiing, snowboarding, zip lining, mountain biking or hiking. Or ride the lift and make it a destination in the summer. Have a cold beverage and enjoy.
A diverse menu allowing varied selections from the littest person in your group to the most selective. The Foundry staff is very helpful in making suggestions and recommendations to help you decide. A good wine list is available.
